The favourite's odds are lower because their chance of winning is considered higher.

Multi Bet and Betting Exchange in Detail

In a multi bet with three or more selections, the odds of each selection are multiplied together. Example: if three selections have decimal odds of 1.40, 1.60 and 1.90, the combined odds are 1.40 × 1.60 × 1.90 = 4.26 (approximately). A ৳100 stake could return ৳426 — but if even one of the three loses, the full ৳100 is gone.

In a betting exchange you can place bets directly against other bettors. Backing means you are betting that team A will win; laying means you are betting that team A will not win. On a ৳500 bet, if team A wins you gain ৳500 (before commission); if they do not win, you lose ৳500.
